We believe that everyone benefits from creative time - especially us adults getting away from our phones!  With that in mind, we've partnered with local bars, cafes and businesses to offer a series of Art Workshops, designed for beginners to get back into using their hands and making art.  Check our schedule below for a class near you!

  • 9/14 ~ Watercolor Exploration with Floral Inspiration ~ Students will learn basic watercolor techniques and then complete a series of watercolor paintings!  Techniques such a dry brush and wet into wet will be demonstrated by our teacher, primarily focused on depicting flowers, followed by ample time for students to experiment with the materials and techniques on their own. Create your own masterpiece without the restrictions of "copying" the teacher. Floral arrangements will be on hand for inspiration!

  • 10/5 ~ Block Printing Tote Bags ~ Students in this class will learn basic relief printing techniques, creating their own linoleum block stamp from design to carving to printing.  Stamps will then be used to decorate a canvas tote bag, which each student leaving class with a finished tote, reusable stamp and info on how to keep printing at home! Additional printing surfaces can be brought to class.

  • 10/19 ~ DIY Printmaking ~ Students will explore traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques that can easily be done at home.  We’ll use recycled cardboard to create traditional collagraph prints, as well as styrofoam sheets to replicate linoleum carving.  We’ll print with water-based printing ink and also permanent ink pads.  Wine corks, bottle caps and bubble wrap will also be explored to showcase how household items can also be used to create gorgeous prints!
  • 10/26 ~ Watercolor Card Creation ~ Students will learn basic watercolor techniques and then complete a series of watercolor paintings!  Techniques such a dry brush and wet into wet will be demonstrated by our teacher, followed by ample time for students to experiment with the materials and techniques on their own. Create your own masterpiece without the restrictions of "copying" the teacher. We’ll work towards creating a small series of painted cards.  Additional painting surfaces can be brought to class.

Everyone will go home with their own unique stamp, an edition of prints and info on how to continue the printing at home.

  • 9/23 Watercolor Exploration with Floral Inspiration ~ Students will learn basic watercolor techniques, such as dry brush and wet into wet, focusing on how to best depict flowers.  We’ll have a colorful floral arrangement on view for inspiration and work towards completing a small series of watercolor paintings. $45/student

  • 9/30 Quick & Easy Printmaking ~ Students will explore traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques that can easily be done at home! We’ll explore DIY techniques that mimic traditional relief printing, as well as how to turn household items into custom stamps! $45/student

  • 10/7 Oil Pastel Exploration ~ Students will explore this versatile drawing material through demonstrations and warm up activities, followed by ample time to create a finished drawing.  Students are encouraged to bring an interesting image or object to class to use for inspiration. $40/student

  • 10/14 Intro to Watercolor ~ Students will learn basic watercolor techniques, such as dry brush and wet into wet. We’ll then work towards completing a small series of watercolor paintings! $40/student

  • 10/21 DIY Stamp Creation ~ Students will learn traditional relief printing techniques and carve their own linoleum blocks.  We’ll then work towards creating a unique edition of prints.  Each student will leave with their artwork and reuseable linoleum block. $50/student

  • 10/28  Watercolor Card Creation ~ Students will learn basic watercolor techniques, such as dry brush and wet into wet. We’ll then work towards completing a small series of watercolor cards! PERFECT FOR THE HOLIDAYS! $40/student
